In 1775, the thirteen wealthiest families in North America decided that they would no longer be subject to rule by their counterparts in England. 

For the past two hundred and fifty years, they have controlled this country outside of the prying eyes of the public over which they rule. 

After a century of in-fighting, the thirteen families found a foolproof method to pass control from one family to another without open war.

Every five years, the families would come together on Halloween and play a game.

The ruling family chooses a small town in America and seals it off from the rest of the country.

The other families each select a dangerous killer to wield one of twelve heirloom weapons.

The killers must eliminate their opponents without leaving the playing field, until they are the last one standing.

The family whose killer survives to the end rules America until the next game.

They call the game EXQUISITE CORPSES.
